AI Policy is a platform for students and professionals alike to engage in a dynamic discussion of the impact of Artificial Intelligence in a futuristic society from the lens of the law. We understand the lens of law in an expansive manner, and encourage submissions that deliberate on philosophical, socio-legal and regulatory concerns surrounding developments in Artificial Intelligence.
All articles submitted must adhere to the AI Policy Stylesheet. At AI Policy, we accept the following types of submissions:
Pieces in excess of the word limit may be considered at the discretion of the Board of Editors.
In case of multiple authors not exceeding three (3), any author may submit on behalf of the other authors. The other authors must be CCed in the email, for the reference of the Board of Editors.
AI Policy welcomes research notes from practising professionals, law firms, and regulatory bodies. Institutional authors are requested to comply with the aforementioned stylesheet for effective readership.
All submissions need to be sent through email to info [at] aipolicy [dot] xyz. Authors shall include the text of the contribution in the body of the email itself, including any images, diagrams, links and references. Authors are required to send a short bio [around 200 words] along with a link to any online profile page[s], if any.
If you are unsure whether a particular topic fits within the broad scope of AI Policy, we encourage you to submit your pitches/proposals to us at info [at] aipolicy [dot] xyz. The Editors shall explore and discuss the pitch over email to develop a better understanding of whether or not it falls within the objectives of AI Policy.
Authors can expect a response within 1 – 2 weeks from the date of submission. If there is a request to expedite review, kindly write to us at info [at] aipolicy [dot] xyz reasoning out the need to expedite review of your piece.
The Board of Editors, AI Policy reserve the right to indicate modifications or refuse submissions. Decisions made by the Board of Editors are final.
If an article is selected by the Board of Editors, they shall be notified by email of the acceptance. As such the contributor is bound by all the terms specified herein. Additionally, the contributor may be required to sign an agreement for waiver of copyright, subject to the terms provided herein and any other terms that may be conveyed subsequently.
If the Board of Editors accepts an article by any contributor, a letter of waiver shall be sent to the contributor. It shall specify the terms of copyright and grant permission for AI Policy to have a perpetual, non-revocable, transferable, exclusive, royalty-free license of the copyright. AI Policy should have the right to use any part or whole of the contribution as it pleases.
The license shall grant AI Policy the right to reproduce, publish, distribute and any other right associated with the copyright as they may deem fit. This may be in any medium, including, but not limited to, electronic and print media. The license shall be granted for the duration of the subsistence of the copyright, which shall include any extension and/or renewal.
